I started the project a little late and joined a group remaking a scene from ‘A View To Kill’ with Rodger Moore as Bond.
The short scene involves 7 shots (3 close up, 4 wide/tracking), 4 actors and props included keys, notepad, map, lamp and filling cabinet. locations were elevator, corridor and dark room.
We needed a elevator for the beginning of the scene so we went to (the other campus name) to use the elevator there. Whilst there we found the corridors bit narrow for the shot but decided to edit around that using other parts of the corridor.
other possible locations include: upstairs and downstairs here?
In the filing room scene we blocked out as much light as possible to create the dark room for the lamp to light up, (the lamp was a phone taped to a chair), but in blocking all the light out it gave the shot this grey washed look which has to be edited in post.
Original shot from A view to kill has the classic 80s astectic” of soft dark, dirty, greys, browns, greens and yellows.
